SAGIndie Diversity in Casting Ad

I just booked a small, yet interesting print job. As my title indicates it's for SAGindie and their Diversity in Casting program. I'll be the pasty 1950's white guy in the back with my pasty 1950's wife as all the colors of the rainbow dance & sing & enjoy in front of us. Or something like that. Sounds fun. I'll be able to use some of the many slim ties I have from my grandfathers collection.

The other interesting part is that just yesterday I signed up for another SAGindie seminar (see below) and I'm about to start shooting my short, Saft, under the SAG Short Film Agreement. Click that link to see how easy it is to make your Film legal.

Short Film Seminar

It's time to get Saft into production. And looky what is coming up at the SAG Foundation: SAG Indie seminar on Producing, Marketing & Distributing SAG signatory Short Films. I'll be there, come on down why don't ya. I'm very curious to see what they have to say. On the other hand Im reading the very excellent Rebel Without A Crew & have a bit of a fuckit/doit attitude going on.

OK

Yeah, ok.

A Hopi Prayer

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning's blush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.

luleelurah

I was doing a little more research (it's true, even Hal believes me) and ran into this film. There seems to be about 1 gem per 50 or 100 films and this one certainly is just that. Also it slightly echoes yesterdays post. Enjoy! *note: not quite suitable for the workplace, I'd give it a PG13 but just for a few seconds here & there.

Yackitty bibblibby dooby be looby giggity giggitty blamooouu perckity pillows gklonda makka couch bla bla... That is about 1/20th of the noise that came out of my "wife" at an audition today, it was her version of improv. Maybe I'll deleat this post or finish the story later.

Time Capsule Premier

A film I did last August, Time Capsule, got into Its first festival: Robert Townsend's Rebel Planet Film Festival. It will be showing this Sat. at 11am & 9pm which will also be its world premier, heh heh. It's $10 to see this & 2 other films, a "block", and you can click on the Fest link for more info. *note it's a little hard to navigate the site, look for the tiny red arrows on the right. I'll be there for the nighttime screening & watching at least 2 other shorts. That's kinda cool, too - this fest is all shorts. Good to see what other filmmakers are up to. By the way, I should warn anyone who wants to come that my big scene was cut from this thing. I'm still in it, just not much. But my friend Mike is one of the leads & a co-producer & my friend/former improv teammate Dave is in it as well.

Cutski

In other news, a feature film I was asked to play a part in (I was happy to be asked & I accepted) has written that part out... to save $100. What can I say, thats what I was told: the script was changed (part written out) of this feature to save one hundred dollars. Better things must be in my future.

It's working

Hey, keep clicking , you just shot my Starmeter to 169, 000. I previously had a high of 115,000, we can beat that.

Had an audition with Melissa Martin today for VW. I played a Gordon Gekko type guy yelling out of his car. Fun stuff.

Click Me

A couple updates I've done finally been added to IMDB. And If you have IMDB Pro, you can see my correct agent information. Actually they added the agent stuff in pretty quickly but I just want you to click away so my Starmeter will rise from the depths. So click me & feed my fragile actor's ego.

Thanks to Maxalt, among other things, my headache is lifting away. After a day or two of shite, the change is almost like a high. To bad they charge way to f@#king much for it. Maybe I should remove the link.
