The 12 of 12 is a photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I was at the beach on an overcast but beautiful day. (captains coming soon)

- Morning rig.

- This guard tower's made it into a few '12's in various form. Somethin' about 'em..

- Existential seagull.

- Color of sand. About as good a close-up as an iPhone can do.

- Pigeon hydration. More great colors, especially the guy on the right. The 2 young Venice dudes nearby gave me a "whoooaaa, check out Spielberg" as I held up my cameraphone.

- Pretty sure the birds had something to do with this. Look close.

- This month's self portrait.

- Herbacide.

- The victim's family.

- Walked up the boardwalk for some sage & took this nice path out.

- Glad to see this memorial, but sad.

- Random placement of phone on desk with self-portrait lens on yielded this, so I snapped.

The 12 of 12 is a photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I hiked & did some other random stuff.

- Low light morning view: faux fireplace headboard.

- The daily view crossing Western.

- Mr. Lizard at Runyon. Seeing lots of these little guys lately. Sometimes they do pushups.

- Last year it seemed like every '12 was on an audition day, this year it seems to be on a hike day.

- That guy. Most of these shots have a lot of guesswork, in that I barely stopped, had sweaty eyes and glare on iPhone. (setting up for big excuse on bonus pic)

- I like these shots playing with levels/distance. This one came out better than the daisy(?) above.

- Everything is in bloom with all the rain this year, really beautiful.

- The view up the back stairs, which I believe you can see in a previous '12 of mine. And I know you can see it in the DVD extras of "The Graves" as I shot my audition tape cruising up these stairs, the hallway, etc.!

- Driving to class...know the corner?

- In the hallway, lots of HS memories came back my first time here. I like this shot.

- There was a display of Diorama Art in the hall case, this was one of a few really cool ones. See, Keep The Arts In Schools!

- OK, here is the unfortunate finger shot that may have been my favorite- up the dead tree(cactus) with plastic bag of doom blowing in the fluffy clouds. I even sustained a decent leg-wound from the cactus spear.

The 12 of 12 is a photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I took 12 shots somewhat randomly throughout my day on the 12th but posted a little late.

- Serene wood floor starts the day off right.

- Self portrait #1, driving north.

- Now moving East on Wilshire.

- Parked, music on, Runkeeper™ started, comence hike.

- Trying a little artsy fartsy depth looking west through grass.

- More of the same through Dogwood(maybe?...no) blossoms. I like this one.

- Blind shot trying to catch 'cloudhole' & trees, I think.

- Wanted to get an interesting angle on this palm frond(it was very windy couple days) but had to snap too quickly as giant SUV pulled up fast wanting parking spot.

- Sun comes out & makes interesting flare for self portrait #2 in front of awesome sunset window™.

- Said sunset window. Trying for a different type of shot.

- Questionable activities in Pasadena or lovely housewarming? Both?

- Driving home, cash intact, blind snap of downtown.

- Morning reading

- New Editing desk! Now I just need to embrace my inner Swede and putit together.

- Secret basement passage.

- Escape path to the roof from said passage.

- Spooky conduit.

- Less spooky conduit.

- Almost the shot I wanted in underground parking. (not so secret exit straight ahead)

- Beautiful and swift (today) Highland.

- When it's a 70 degree January in L.A., it's time to dirty the new running shoes somewhere.

- How about at Runyon? Why not. Click for distant sparklin' ocean.

- Of course, of course.

- Hard to pick which shot to finish with. It was pretty packed up there today so this was a nice little solo section.

- Got the feet wet.

- If you look really hard you can see beach footware hiding.

- The obligatory 'you have to click to make bigger to see the dolphins pic'. They were having a blast today, surfing in the waves & jumping around, crusing up to surfers. I'll link to a friends vid.

- Morning light.

- Broke my french press a while back & still making camp coffee. Plus toes.

- I enjoy the clash of things. Click to make bigger & see what I mean. got a caption?

- 74(ish) Nova. Didn't quite get this shot.

- Through the bars, out the screen, onto LaBrea.

- Flowers of the day.

- Capitol Records building, California blue sky and a UFO?

- Hiking Runyon, guarded by ironwork dogs.

- Weird 1/2 self portrait at the tree of rest.

- Double stretch, double water.

- This shot came out crappy but the concept is great - they use natural 'waste' to fill in the washouts on the trail.

- Shiny ocean past the Wilshire business district with a killer natural lens flare.

- Annie & Peter celebrate 1 year, with secret friends peeking in. Also this month's self portrait.

- Jimbo rocked some acoustic, we harmonized a little Bowie, then I had to run.

- Forgot to grab a pic at the script reading, so here it is on my breakfast table as I drive away.

- In the parking garage at Ralphs, I did not bump my head.

- Birds in flight. Took me 3 shots to get this one, and the brown (albino?) one really came towards the front nicely

- Yes, I am a treehugger. Soon plastic bags will be outlawed! Google ocean plastic.

- Huge pile up/something. Wrecked cop cars, helicopters, a mess. Never found out exactly what, I'll turn on the news & report back.

- If you look close/click you can see the Team in question, indeed covering.

- Vent on Korean mall, often wafting deliciousness.

- Obligatory driving to casting self portrait. Right around here I found out my 2nd audition today was moved to tomorrow. I'll be there.

- Weak lighting on a really cool Balinese mask I imported.

- Starting my run. Average 3 miler.

- Up the pole with an optical illusion. Can you tell whats going on?

- Neighbor kids having the opening water-fight of the summer!

- Rain or shine?

- A little froggy out, as my Pop would say.

- New coffee mug hand-imported from Jersey!

- For the obligatory self portrait: tired guy on the way to work for the man. Had my 1st audition of the week about 8 hours after this, no blue shirt.

- Missed the shot - This guy had fake sidepipes glued just behind the rear wheel, with the actual pipe still very visible. Quite humorous if your a current or ex-motorhead.

- Surface of the Moon?
- Surface of the Moon with train.

- I like this view through the open stairs.

- Runyon sundown. This & the next two are kind of cheater pics, I'm thinking about doing a "1 pic a day all year" thing & these are from there.

- Venice sunrise.

- An apartment angle. Looked much better on the iPhone, proving again that good iPhone pics need good light... usually.

- Bonus pic, Christmas dorks!

-All Natural! As a Tree-Huggin' recycler I dig it.

- Looking out at the neighbors through the unusual L.A. Rain. That little oak in the courtyard replaces a huge one that fell over & died last year (crushing part of the building to the right)

- Wet intersection through blinds.

- In a blue shirt for audition! Forgot to take it in car- busy avoiding crazy wet drivers. Today was for an AFTRA show.

- Neighbor's witch probably only going to be seen by few, so I share it with you!

- Out front, wide. Is it letting up?

- Out front, close, plus other neighbors cool courtyard. See the tiny puddles getting drops? Didn't let up.

- One way down...nice centering...

- Another way down. This is the stairwell where I filmed my audition for "The Graves" Maybe It'll make the DVD extras!

- Front view at sunset.

- Bonus shot! My cast for last Fridays "Recipe for Hot Biscuits & Blues" fuzzy, as if through rain(and this was the best of 5 pics, taken by a non-iPhone user...but with love).

Going over sides one last time before leaving.

They trimmed the hell outa the palms out front. Personally I think they took away too many leaves & left a little too much husk. Oh, and they raised the rent again. Nice.

Somebody TP'd the back yard with a calculator full of tape.

By request! The obligatory self portrait in a blue* shirt on the way to an audition shot. The trend of having one on the 12th is back. * Yeah, I know green too & some stripes & crap.

Grassy bush (bushy grass?) I parked next to which just happened to be right down the street from a certain writer/director/actor pal I recently worked with again.

The clouds killed the colors on this shot of the outside of the studio the audition was in.

Just outside & back across the street after the somewhat lengthy read that went well, as did yesterday's & Wednesday's.

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I took 12 pictures in about 10 mins. on the way to the Korean market. Was going to take them along my run but it was canceled due to an exciting migraine.

-Where is your stand pipe dude? Well it's right behind this palm tree out front.

-Looking straight up, just outside the front door.

-Across the street is an historic building that looks like it lives in Germany.

-Lacy white flowery stuff in the front garden, can't recall the name of it but it looks like snowy pines in Colorado.

-Paint drippings from the occasional tagging cover up (so douchey, remember when graffiti was art?) and a butt.

-Life through a palm. Just missed the sunset, D'oh!

-That's my corner, can you see the real me?

-The new cookie cutter condo 1/2 a block long has a colorful flower bed.

-I wish more dog owners would heed the call. It makes me angry when I run, I could go on... but how 'bout some gratitude for the good owners instead.

-A couple other neighbors and the blimp...see it? I always wanted to name an Improv team "La Bertha" that was comprised of all residents of my place. We used to have a ton here, down about 1/2.

-Wanted to get a better angle on Mr. Snail but was afraid he'd go inside (& light was fading).

-Bonus pic I took while down at Twisted filling out a leftover form.

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I finally got to do one I've been thinking about: 12 pics in under 12 minutes, on the 12th(of course) on my roof.

-A view looking east (downtown LA) from the east edge of the roof.

-Looking south through the gazebo - that's right, we have a gazebo on out roof.- With added bonus partial self portrait.

-A view through the fire hose pipes to the Wilshire business district area, kinda northeast. I love how these pipes look, will have to get a larger pic someday.

-One of the semi-rotting grills parked in tandem in the once well-used bar-b-q area.

-Down the vent pipe.

-Antenna sky.

-Another style vent pipe with another style partial self portrait.

-Western sunset view from mid roof. It really is quite nice up here.

-Straight north from same mid roof spot.

-Emergency teams down on the street.

-Still life- flaking wrought iron door, with broken chair and gas vent still contraption.

-Looking down into the odd courtyard for 2, parking lot, little garages, and the bottom of the new condo that you saw going up over the past couple years' 12's.

-Meet your officers! You might know some of these Guild pioneers.

-The man behind the curtain action figure! Actually my little tour of the beginnings of SAG here really reemphasized what were fighting for. 'Ol Frank here was a big part of it.

-Gotta have sunny palm trees, just opposite the previous admin area, in the lot.

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I am late and therefore cheating (sweet logic, eh?) but I will be showing you cool pics from our film "Numbers" shoot in Arizona.

As a producer you sometimes have to wrangle the flying pony.

*Going to see the Dark knight today so I can participate in conversations in Los Angeles.

Saw an incredibly good film "Frozen River" at a SAG screening at Pacific Design Center with the Writer/Director and 2 leads giving an excellent Q&A afterword. Go see it! There's a current SAG Foundation screening.

*3 auditions this week. Landau/McRae for Select Comfort. If I book that one I'd be joining my friend Lindsay as a spokesperson for their bed.
A directors reel spot for Kari Peyton involving golf and suits that was short & sweet.
And an Indie film for Mikkelsen casting where I'd play a car salesman. Perfect. And it shoots in vegas.

*We have our location locked for SAFT. Finally! And we have a potential shooting date...shhh...don't jinx it. The good part of that is everyone has been working which has made nailing things down a bear.

Had a conference call with producers of a new film project, NUMBERS! Dean, Brian, Greg, Annie & I are very excited about this short, to be produced somewhere, with some people, later this year.

Lately I've gotten tired of shooting on day-job days, especially since I'm rarely there. Doing lots more Acting & editing these days. So hopefully its not too boring, and I'm going to cheat a little in the beginning here , in honor of "The Graves" starting it's shoot today!

Last Week - I flew down to Phoenix to take care of some pre production stuff for my role as "Dad" (yes, thats my real name) in "The Graves". Thats Dean & Brian posing in front of their office etched glass official placard deal. I made them. Good times.

Last Week - Hey Bill, what the hell you doin? Can't say yet, you're gonna like the pictures when I do though : )

Last Week - The wall-o-final casting. I'm among some good company here. This was just before the cast/director/producer read-through 1 room to the left. Was great that we got to do this.

OK, back to today:

6:29 am - Mornin'. Just waiting for coffee...and forgetting cameras low light fuzzy pixely-ness.

6:32 AM - Making lunch with delicious red leaf lettuce...with low light.

7:15 AM - Bad rolling shot (but good aim!) of a wall with grass growing on it. S La Cienega. So cool. Did I snap one like this before?

7:17 AM - I like the look of all the power lines here - like a 70's documentary on the woes of urban sprawl. Car killed my framing - otherwise great aim.

7:35 AM - I wasted time laughing at this sticker while the light changed! It's the black & yellow blur on the left and it says "caution this bus has the ability to kneel".

3:45 AM - The obligatory driving self portrait, this time green not blue shirt and no audition.

3:52 PM - Ventura Blvd. famous-ish diner joint. That bird just landed as I snapped.

3:54 PM - Using the zoom on the Pearl phone-cam does not help. Back door of the Sportsman's Lodge on Ventura for a secret meeting.

5:10 PM - Check the sweet craft services. (actually there was some healthy crap that was quite tasty).

5:56 PM - Back into Hollywood & grabbed a shot of the Capitol building. You see the bird (pigeon or dove) in flight on the left? I always like the look & feel of exiting the 101 S on Vine. This is the 1st thing you see when you do.

Since we can't take pictures at the part time job and I spaced taking early AM pics, I got a late start. And since I'll be wiped out after seeing Of Mice & Men tonight at Theatre Banshee featuring my buddy PJ, this month's theme is 'outdoors between work & home'.

2:02 PM - The metal lattice pyramid between the towers at the part time job.

2:03 PM - Looking skyward from same location.

2:03:30 PM - Just behind me, same location again.

2:04 PM - Fire nozzles, gauges, pipes & such in the parking garage stairwell. I like this pic, very Willy Wonka or Seuss-like.

2:10 PM - The standard 'Driving with a blue shirt' shot. Although today I did not have my usual '12 of 12 audition'! Almost though, as I had to cancel one.

2:20 PM - On the 110 N. enjoying the shade (about 20 degrees cooler) and the oddly satisfying feel of the car pool lane overhead.

2:25 PM - Trying for a good Downtown Skyline shot....ehh...

2:29 PM - This is the loft building that lives in the loop of the 10 west off ramp of the 110 north. I always wonder how loud it is to live here. Not the greatest pic (hey, I was driving fast in a big loop!) but check out the CHP officer caught in the mirror, kinda cool! (click to enlarge)

2:40 PM - Goal was to capture the Hollywood sign. North on Western just past Olympic (my hood).

2:40:10 PM - This one has a bit of a old-time-Vegas feel to it. Zooming in with the Pearl phone cam adds to that effect I think.

2:41 PM - My building's south side. On the top right you can make out the built in porch/gazebo dealy where we just might be filming the last day of SAFT.

2:43 PM - And finally, another angle on the front side of my bulding. You can almost make out the tip of gazebo behind the palm tree.

7:47 AM - Very early, ouch but thats what the part time help-pay-the-rent-job requires. Todays a 1/2 day of new training.

7:48 AM - There were no airplanes overhead, how 'bout a shiny firetruck next to me at the light?

7:56 AM - Walking from street parking I passed a big ass truck with this front plate.

11:26 AM - No cameras allowed at this job, so here is a pic of the building(s) just after work. And as a bonus, I'm standing right next to that rockin' skull license plate.

11:35 AM - Nothin to see here...just keepin the Doctor away.

11:38 -AM - See that white sign with the red letters under the bridge? Thats the "Nud Nude Nude!" bar near the airport, come on! You know the one! I think I was actually in there once, long before I lived in LA, maybe 18 years ago...can't quite be sure on this one. This has got to be a record for # of '12 pics taken before noon.

12:54 PM - My monthly 12 of 12 audition! This time it was at 200 S. La Brea, for Time Warner with Spot Casting. Yes that is my original Pretenders vinyl, it was needed for my stupid human trick
4:00 PM - After my phone charged up again. Here's a collage of boots & inserts. I'm gearing up the equipment for a day or 2 of skiing and also trying to get the new running shoes just right. The latter is proving to be a pain in the ass, I may have bought a 1/2 size to large.

6:33 PM - Couch, tube, say no more...kinda lame but I guess I've checked the TV shot off my inevitable '12 list.

7:15 PM - "Ethical Pharmacy" is what you can't see on the 2 blurry lit signs. I love that name, I really believe their pills won't kill me, don't you? Maybe I'll get a non-while-driving daytime shot someday.

9:30 PM - What is it? Strands of DNA, Delicious snack, Spider web?

1:08 PM - Outside of Ralphs I spot some purple pansies. That phrase would have made me chuckle in school.

1:58 PM - The beautius interior of my little individual garage. Plenty of locker storage and first aid available to all...unfortunately these lockers are DEEP & keep me from closing the big door...which does not work right anyway. Management is a little slow on the 'ol fix-it.

2:18 PM - Adolescent sugary guilty indulgence that stays crunchy even after milk. Guess? (and I mix it with plain puffed rice/corn. Semi healthy?)

6:00 PM - At $2.93 the gas at my local Mobile is way cheaper than any I've seen around town.

7:18 PM - Arriving at the 4 Seasons to have dinner and visit with the cousins. Fancy & delicious.

7:34 PM - A very crappy photo of the gang. (lighting was tough in here)

9:21 PM - Here's a slightly better one of cousins Margaret & Bill. We had a terrific time & my steak was tremendous. This lighting is just killing me with the Pearl cam & I'll take it under advisement & try to adjust when possible. Although I do kind of like how my corner in Koreatown looks just like the 4 Seasons entrance, heh heh.

So here is a cobbled together 12 on the 13th. As a punishment for my lateness I will give you only the last 12 pics on my phone, in order, with no skipping around for better shots.

Dec 25th 7 pm - My Cousin Val's odd pictionary drawing, when I remember what it is I will post....and that will be what makes it more funnier.

Dec 25th 7:50 pm - Said Cousin celebrating getting 5 out of 5. Must have something to do with the Lippincott luck.

Dec 25th 830pm - Another Cousin, this time of our gracious hostess. (squeezing the cam button at odd angles may cause fuzziness).

Dec 25th 9 pm - This doggy is very fun & has only 3 legs. He moves around really well. Really.

Dec 31st 3:30 pm - X-mas tree graveyard near a part time job. Poor little fellas. If I ever do a tree(s) again, it will be live ones to plant later.

Dec 31st 4:50 pm - Putting in a new battery in front of AutoZone JUST in the nick of time. It registered dead on their meter, was barely cranking at start up, but I still never needed a jump start! It's the simple pleasures. This pic was originally going to go in a post about recent manly DIY work on my car including a brake job taught by Jeff (see him a couple pics down).

Jan 3rd 9:40 pm - Liz, Morgan & Steve (r-l) on a break in Howey's class. Such a good class.

Jan 4th 3:20 pm - In the parking garage at SAG with my signatory packet! The goal is to produce one short every four months minimum in '08. (low light pixilates the phone cam as well)

Jan 10th 6:40 pm - My awesome parking spot in the 4th St. garage in Santa Monica, on the way to an audition with All Rhoades Casting. Kind of an inside running joke with my past & future scene partner & pal, Annie.

Today! 11:13 am - Jeff across the breakfast table. Actually not a bad pic considering it was taken directly into the sun. Sort of an experiment. A half hour before this shot I noticed dolphins surfing/playing in some big waves and right when I nudged Jeff to look 1 jumped (swam? flipped?) straight up into the air out of the wave. So beautiful...I'll try to google a similar looking pic since I unfortunately did not have the phone cam ready at the time.

9:05 AM - Little Sis sent back her 'pod for me to put tunes on. Can you read the inscription? It's the same one I gave Older Sis, whose happy birthday it is today.

11:04 AM - Finishing up my contribution to SMFA3 - Demo Reels, I've cut a million of 'em. Due out in Feb '08!

2:11 PM - Driving to the UCB Theatre behind this low budget mattress delivery. I like how it looked.

2:35 PM - My wheelchair in the trunk. I'm loaning it back to Bill & Eric for their "Red Sandwich" Xmas show Thursday night. You should check it out, it's directed by a big time comedy guy Bob who held the door for me & the chair on the way in.

3:15 PM - I never stop at these. Today, thanks to 12 of 12 I walked past, turned around, dropped in a buck & asked to take a pic. Happyfuntime

3:35 PM - The sky looked great today. I like the blue and the architecture of the church and the trees.
3:35:30 PM - Similarly inspired as above. Its nice how 12 of 12 has me looking with photographers eye much of the day. So much learning & goodness!

1:00 PM - What happened to morning? I'm on my way to the late wrap party/early screening of "Wreck the Halls". My back hurts.

1:10 PM - A full tank of gas & clean windows gives you more horsepower, sure but it just doesn't seem to replace the pads.

2:05 PM - The lovely "Guy's" above the bowling alley next to Jerry's Deli. I never knew this was here. Pretty cool place for a little screening party.

2:30 PM - Here are the cheating shots I mentioned above since I forgot to snap some at the screening. Myself & lead Angel Megan Ashley.

2:35 PM - A few folks on set including my buddies 1st AD Jeff & Actor/Director/Writer Michelle.

2:30 PM - OK, last 'left over' pic is with my lovely pal Jodi on set. We ran into each other a bunch this year.

3:30 PM - Looking out the window at the end of the corridor leading to Mimi Webb Miller casting. Those umbrellas are protecting Hooters patrons. I went straight to callback for a Vitamin Water spot.

3:31 PM - While trying to get a pic inside the Vidal Sasson academy (just above Hooters) I instead snapped myself and the beach looking condos behind me. Notice the ghost wrap on my head. I have no idea how that turned out in this pic. Maybe it's a reverse vampire turban?

3:50 PM - I love the architecture in this office. Interestingly, I had a callback scheduled at Kari Peyton for Grandparents.com (from a sweet audition friday!) that got canceled last minute because they changed the specs. How fortunate for the fragile actor to be told about this straight to callback audition in the very same email as the cancellation.

4:30 PM - Angular shot down the alley of the free-for-2-hours parking garage.

5:45 PM - See that black dot just to the right of the naked branch? That is a giant spider in the tree next to our garages. He and his web are quite big. The bonus word for this month is 'grateful' and I'm grateful that I can notice weird odd naturey stuff & smile even when I feel like crap.

5:46 PM - White rose in front of my building. Hmmm, still seems kinda fancy. Hah.

6:00 PM - A closeup of the pattern on my tie, it's a Jerry Garcia.

Well, I didn't even get a chance to post about yesterday's straight - to - callback print audition for Coca~Cola with Brigid McBride Casting when I get the call today that I'm on Avail for it.

Avail...the mixed blessing. Come to think of it, straight to callback sort of is too. It's nice that they trust bringing you straight in to C/B but why didn't they the first time? (Thats humor there)

And last time I went straight to C/B I believe I booked!

Audition today at Cathi Carlton for Wal-Mart. My guess is it's the pick up from the canceled audition the other day. Or possibly they scrapped the last campaign for this new one. Either way, it was just a simple group scene & I finally filled out my Casting Frontier card, allowing me to swipe in my info at a number of casting offices.

Afterward I came home to finish up a reel for a repeat customer, he was quite pleased.

The 12 of 12 is a fun project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. It always seems to sneak up on me. This is my second month with the new Pearl & I've discovered a few settings to take better pics.

9:15 am - Off to an Indie audition. Science type. The new non-glare reading glasses are coming in handy. Snoozetown is officially over.

9:16 am - Where was that cross street again?

11:30 am - The BONUS PIC™ word for this month was "unexpected". These are the packages I received from the lovely & talented Erin O'Brien.

12:02 pm - This is my USB coffee warmer/hub and it actually works! Although I think it freaks out my USB card out every now & again ...and I certainly would not use it for its hubliness.

1:07 pm - Worked on Mondays for 2 minutes. Whats a 4 letter word for online diary?

1:30 pm - Summer roles from the Vietnamese place in the Korean mall run by an awesome Chinese lady. Quite tasty.

4:00 pm - Inspired by my parcel post delivery from Erin, I walk to the 'lil post office around the corner to mail a birthday gift to my 'lil Sister (an engraved iPod Shuffle I bought for her a while back) to be on time for the 15th!

4:01 pm - Close up of the flowers above.

4:12 pm - Snapping off a quick one on the way out of said Post Office.

4:13 pm - Weird rocks & glowing quartz lamps in the shopping part of the post office building.

4:14 pm - Kinda hard to tell this place is there, which tends to make it less crowded.

4:22 pm - My building from across the street, it almost looks fancy. Hah!

6:35 pm - Off for a run. God it feels good to be looking forward to running again. And, yes, that's a cassette Walkman with United Airlines headphones -perfect for a sweaty run.

After a long dry spell I had a commercial audition today. It was with Kathy Knowles for Prilosec as a NASCAR fan. With the dust wiped off me I went in & did just fine. It's good to be back now on to the next one!

Thats right all my Colorado Hombrés, I'll be inviting you to the show and sleeping on your couch in no time! This fest is kind of a big deal for the Ronalds Brothers, coming back to the old stomping grounds and premiering Saturday night in the Boulder Theater. Pretty cool deal for me too as I got started with acting in Denver/Boulder, studying alongside Dean in Bill Howey's class (yes, he's here in LA now & I am back in his quite excellent class) and performing Improv with Headgames™ in the West End Tavern's basement just down the street.

Dead guy

So I had my 1st audition through the new manager today. It was at Lieberman Patton casting for the new show "Pushing Daises". I was playing a dead guy who comes back to life with a touch from the lead character (the premise of the show). It seemed to go alright, we did it once, got a redirect & fired it off again with changes. I've been to this office half a dozen times in the last two years, a booking is imminent!

A few days ago I was thinking about the dry spell thats been happening. I'm somewhat used to it theatrically (that's one thing this new Mgr. is meant to change... ok the main thing) but commercially it's a bit unusual. So after a little slight self indulgent actor moping I got into action & put together a bunch of mailers to send out & waltzed them down to the little Korean post office around the corner. I always feel good walking back from that little post office, knowing that my face will be on a few more desks around town in no time.

And when I got back there was this new type of email waiting for me, from my Manager, asking if I can make this audition. Why yes I can, thank you.

3:00 pm - BONUS PIC - "Light" was the word . This was an accidental straight shot into the sun while trying to capture an awesomely odd Hollywood type. (edit: I'll need to experiment with the light settings I see now...hope they're there)

6:15 pm - I arrived at Barnsdall park early to be greeted with a great parking spot & a fine view.

6:40 pm - Why an I here? For Independent Shakespeare Company's production of Macbeth, of course.

6:50 pm - I enjoy contrast...and didn't try for a better angle.

7:05 pm - Matt & Caroline enjoy a little Bard.

I cheated a little this month & tossed in a few pics from the Screening of "Pre-selected" on the CBS Radford lot. It was a Columbia college thesis project where they're given offices & a stage on the lot for the final project of a select few.

June - My co-star Nicole & I just after the shoot

June - The Dean of film gave an award to this instructor who's name eludes me right now. Good speach.

June - Director Kristin Owings & I oddly digitally sliced up. The artsy bad phone cam throws out another gem in an attempt to prolong it's shelf life.

June - 2nd try was a charm.

12:54 PM - This is my System Prefrences panel. Every once in a while I get an odd sound thing I have to refresh when I have FCP open in 1 user & iTunes & Quicktime open in another user if I'm going through my Griffin iMic.

9:30 PM - My awesome current scene partner Liz. She kicks ass & we're having a great time with a scene from "Marcus Is Walking" in Bill Howey's class. This class is really rocking - just awesome right now. I am so ready and eager to work. Any actors reading this I'd recommend checking him out.
