12 of 12 April 2010

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I did 12 shots in a back yard & it was quite hard narrowing it down!

- Barbeque? Nope, overgrown incinerator.

- Hidden baseball from days gone by.

- Fruit near & far.

- The 'ol Pitchback doesn't quite fit

- Rope swing or hangman's noose?

- OK, swing it is...or was.

- Birds gotta eat. They were too fast for the phone-cam today though.

- Gnarl.

- Your basic foliage, there was lots to choose from.

- Through the screen, find the squirrel!

- I love this plant, a succulent of some sort I believe. Need to look it up.

- Left to dry, months, years ago?

12 of 12 February 2010

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I took a bunch of shots on my Runyon Hike.

- Sage advice

- See? This is beautiful California.

- Walrus log.

- Cove in Frodo's side yard.

- Everyone takes a quick rest here. Good roots to stretch the calves on too!

- Your heels may stay but you'll get over. Got a caption?

- The covered Hollywood sign, a good cause (google it)

- Tracks on the ground.

-Signs of humans.

- Dog party!

- Partial self portrait at weed rock.

- Retaining wall with slight hand/iPhone movement.

Bonus - rout from the "Runkeeper" app. (great for runners/hikers/etc.):

12 of 12 January 2010

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I added a couple to offset the day.

- Rain or shine?

- A little froggy out, as my Pop would say.

- New coffee mug hand-imported from Jersey!

- For the obligatory self portrait: tired guy on the way to work for the man. Had my 1st audition of the week about 8 hours after this, no blue shirt.

- Missed the shot - This guy had fake sidepipes glued just behind the rear wheel, with the actual pipe still very visible. Quite humorous if your a current or ex-motorhead.

- Surface of the Moon?
- Surface of the Moon with train.

- I like this view through the open stairs.

- Runyon sundown. This & the next two are kind of cheater pics, I'm thinking about doing a "1 pic a day all year" thing & these are from there.

- Venice sunrise.

- An apartment angle. Looked much better on the iPhone, proving again that good iPhone pics need good light... usually.

- Bonus pic, Christmas dorks!

Next month - more action.

12 of 12 November 09

The 12 of 12 is a fun photo essay project started by a guy named Chad (click link) that I try to do every month. This month I continued this year's trend of 12 pics in about 12 minutes...at the Gas Station.

- Fine Foliage & Dining.

- Guess the Gas!

- Fillin' station Pollock.

- Someone didn't follow directions...what did they sacrifice?

- More QuickyMart™ Gardens.

- Tons of security at this place.

-All Natural! As a Tree-Huggin' recycler I dig it.

- Less popular Superman? The end of Pollock? Your Title?

- One regular Bird, one special bird.

- And they both fly beautifully.

- Angles.

- A high risk shot through the high-security slatted fence. Whatever's going on in there it's all-American.
